Could you be more elaborative on which values are you referring to? "values of protection technology"

Are you talking about the number of connection? It can be managed using Flood Mitigation settings: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc995196.aspx

In dashboard, there is one part named "Protection Technology".

I want to reset below 3 values:

    Blocked infected downloads

    Blocked policy Violations

    Blocked URL filtering

    Hi,

    Thank you for the post.

As far as I know, there is no TMG interface to reset the counters. However you can do it manually using  “Forefront TMG Performance Monitor”. The relevant counters are listed below.

    • Under “Forefront TMG Web Proxy”:

    1.     Signatures blocked by NIS in last day

    2.     Signatures detected by NIS in last day

    3.     Malware Inspection - Items Blocked (Infected) in last day

    4.     Malware Inspection - Items Blocked (Policy) in last day

    5.     Malware Inspection - Total Items Handled in last day

    6.     Sites Denied in last day

    7.     Total Number of Requests in Last Day

    8.     HTTPS inspection blocked certificates in last day

    9.     HTTPS connections inspected in last day

    • Under “Forefront TMG Firewall Packet Engine”:

    1.     Dropped Packets/sec

    2.     Allowed Packets/sec

    • Under “Forefront TMG Email Hygiene”:

    1.     Email messages scanned

    2.     Infected messages

    3.     Spam messages

    Regards,

Looks reboot server is one way to reset those counters.

Any other way not to reboot?

    Hi George,

Sorry for the confusion, you are right, the values cannot be reset via Performance Monitor. The values are reset after restarting firewall service:

    net stop fwsrv

    net start fwsrv
