Discussion Defining a LUA (TN3270) on a MS HIS Server

I have not had the need to have a LUA defined before and my brain is refusing to work.

I want my Galaxy Tab 10.1 to be able to have a 3270 session on it.

I have sorted out the android stuff (F5 VPN and TN3270 app) now I need a TN3270 LUA defined on a HIS Server

    Thoughts & Guidance appreciated

    Allan,

I'll assume that you have a host connection defined on a HIS Server that is able to establish 3270 sessions. Creating a LUA LU is the same as creating a 3270 LU. Open SNA Manager, go to one of the host connections that is currnetly defined, richt-click the connection name, then click New and then Application LU (LUA). a 3270 LU Properties dialog will be displayed. You will enter a LU number to match a LOCADDR value defined in the PU definition in VTAM and then give the LU a name.

After the LUA LU is created, you would assign it to the TN3270 service in SNA Manager to have a TN3270 LU.

See the TN3270 and Administering TN3270 sections of the HIS 2010 Documetnation for more details.

    Thanks...
