    HI,

    With the new FIM R2 Portal, we will be able to reset passwords from non-domain joined computers using only a browser - will these accounts however, all have to exist in the FIM Portal database as currently in FIM 2010?

    FIM must still have some visibility into the account.

    Yes, from that perspective nothing changes, those accounts need to exist in the FIM Portal (Service) DB and be registered for SSPR.
