    Hi everyone, I'm using WinXP SP3 now and get trouble with VAMT 2.0. It said something about MMC fails to create snap-in...

    To make it clear, you should take a look at this photo that I captured from screen:

    So if anyone has dealt with this please respond me ASAP. Any help could be really appreciated !!! Thanks for reading.

    Hi,

    I have not encountered this error myself but I would suggest the following:

    a) consider using a newer OS than WinXP :)
    b) check for .NET Framework and VCredist/runtime health
    c) reinstall/repair VAMT

    You may find some log entries relevant to the MMC crash (although due to limited logging in WinXP it may not be easy)

    Actually I used WinXP on this PC for 6 yrs and it works great all the time. Further more I'm not sure the newer OS will do a smooth performance since the system is old. The other solutions have been considered but no use and no log was record by Windows :( . Anyway, thanks for your suggestion :)

    Finally, I found out the cure - Net Framework 2.0. I'm using NF4.0 now so that's the reason...Jesus !!!

    Problem solved !!! Thanks for your time, guys !!!
