Odpovědět Document to Show All document statistics in a folder

I am using SharePoint 2007 server.

I have a folder with over 500 documents.

What I was asked to create was a document that linked some of those documents so they could be easily reached by our users.

I created a Web Doc (HTM) and copied and pasted the File name and shortcut into that document.

This works pretty good, however now I am being asked to create a list of those documents that are in that Link Document.

The information I need is the document #, title, modification date and version #.

Since this document only has links to those documents i am at a loss on how to easily do this.

printed out the document, so I know what the links are.

I created this a couple of years ago, and didn't know SharePoint very well. (Still don't)

Is there a way to create a folder, with links to these documents where I can also list the documents attributes?

    Thanks in advance.

All of this can be achieved via views.  Views allow you to create different ways to view the document data, from sorting, filtering, amending page counts, grouping and so on.  A lot of this is achieved via the metadata attached to the documents.  All of these SharePoint captures for you automatically.  Additionally, your users can also set these views up themselves personally, so that you may not have too.

SharePoint 2007´s standard pagination limit is 100 per page, not 500 therefore it´s possible you might have to work out some filtering for what the users need specifically.

Creating the page manually via HTML overheads is a lot of work that sounds like it can be avoided.

    Hi,

There can be multiple ways to do this.

If you want to prepare a document of it I would suggest you to create a view with all the properties you want to display and then open it in datasheet view and take the data.

I hope this will help you out.
