Answered Sharepoint List redirecting to Allitems.aspx

    The default behavior for a list is that after adding or updating an item, SharePoint will redirect you to the page where you come from.

    However, now SharePoint is always redirecting me back to the same page “allitems.aspx”.

    What I was trying to do is to open my list in Edit mode. So I used share point designer and I changed the content type (Task title) Display form to = ~list/Task/editifs.aspx. Great it worked. But now it's always redirecting me to “allitems.aspx”. I checked the URL and found out that the usual &Source added by SharePoint is gone.

    But if I check the check-box Item and click EditItem Button on the SharePoint ribbon, the URL will contain the &Source and SharePoint will redirect me to the page where I came from.

    How can I fix the redirecting issue? if not how can I restore my SharePoint list Settings? (Even when I changed back everything I still had the the same issue )
