    Hi All,

    I'm facing a strange issue, when i check-out and check-in a file in a Sharepoint document library, previous version of the document is getting deleted and the new checked-in file gets 2 versions created, let's say a file has got version 1 and 2, if someone checks out the file and check back in, version 2 gets deleted and the new versions will be version 3 and 4 (getting checked-in twice somehow), when i check the version history of the document, versions that i see are 1, 3 & 4, version 2 not there. Please provide me your inputs

    Hi Prabhumk,

    Based on your description, I tried to reproduce this issue, however everything works fine.

    When check out a document, there will generate a new version by default, you can see in the column Version (modify the view to add version column). Don’t open it to edit, check the version history, then check in, look at the version history, and then check whether the two versions are the same. Based on your description, please check whether the version 3 and 4 are same (like in file size). You can try to disable version and then enable it to check whether the issue occur again.
