DotazSharepoint Reports Error

    We have recently had an error with our Sharepoint Reports in MOSS 2007.

    When viewing any kind of reports, e.g "Checked Out To Me" or "Last Modified By Me" We get this error:

    Exception occurred. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80020009 (DISP_E_EXCEPTION))   at Microsoft.SharePoint.Library.SPRequestInternalClass.ReleaseResources()
       at Microsoft.SharePoint.Library.SPRequest.ReleaseResources()

    However if I go into the Content Structure Reports, and edit the report and add the property

    "<Lists ServerTemplate="850"/>"   into the property "caml list type" it fixes this problem.

    The reports only fail on the home page of the portal. If you are within a subsite there are no problems

    Anyone else how this problem, or know the cause of the problem.

    Ed

    Nearly a year later since Ed's original post I've just encountered this same problem, and can confirm that this fixed it.

    I've no idea what caused it either but it's been a nightmare to track down a solution.  Ed, I owe you a beer...

    I'm getting this error now too. I tried the fix mentioned and it worked but 850 is the Pages ServerTemplate and I don't want to limit all of my reports to this template. In other words, using the above mentioned fix will force the query to only look at items with a Pages content type.

    This problem started after a bad solution deployment. The solution has since been removed but fragments are still stuck in SharePoint.

    Does anyone know where a list of all the ServerTemplate id numbers can be found?

    This link dosent seems to be working. Moreover i am getting the above error when once run the custom sharepoint timer job. Then change the dll, put it in GAC, iisreset and then when i refresh the page of my portal. It gives me this error.

    please update if any one has the solution
