    Installed successfully, reboot, immediately says there is an update and its the same one over and over again.  The Windows Shutdown button also continually shows the gold exclamation shield stating "Install updates and shutdown the computer".  Shutdown installs an update but when rebooted its still there, along with Windows Update notification. 

    This is the third corproate machine we have encountered with this funkiness.

    Any thoughts?

    Hi,

     

    Please go to control panel\Windows Update\View update history to check if KB890830 installed successful.

     

    If it show installed failed, you can try to manually install this KB for test.

     

    If the issue persists, try to reset Windows update components:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058

    What do you do if the Update History shows that it is installed successfully
