Odpovědět Migrating Print Cluster 2008 R2 to New Domain

A few months ago I helped build a 2008 R2 print cluster in our domain. I migrated 250 printers off a 2003 print server onto this new cluster. Now we are migrating to a new domain using Quest Migration Manager tools. I have a test VM with 2003 print services installed and it was what I used to copy the printer shares to our new cluster. I was thinking of using it as a test server for this migration, but then I'm not sure how AD in the new (much bigger domain) domain will handle the publishing aspect if there are duplicate name collisions? I'm also guessing we'll need to add these new printers prefix to the new domain DNS.

Is there a way to migrate a print server without publishing the installed printers on it, change the names of all the printers, then publish them to the new AD environment?

I was able to clone an available print server and because there were no duplicate printers by name in the new domain, the migration went without any issues. We may just setup a new cluster and use printbmr.exe tool to migrate all production printers off the existing print cluster to the new. Anyway, guess I answered my own question today.
