Hi, we have a scenario, we have migrated from Lotus Notes 8.5 to Exchange 2010.
We have configured Exchange 2010 NLB with Multicast, and since the time we are facing a problem that we are facing ping loss on the NLB IP. But don’t have a ping loss on Individual server IP.
The bandwidth to the datacenter is 16 MB. We have 1200 users in different environment on different subnets.
What do you suggest, can we configure the Unicast on the NLB ? Or is there any other work around to this one ?
Regards, Owais

Hello Pathan,
Check for the NLB port 2504(UDP) at your place whether it is disabled? If so enable it.
I suggest you check for event ID which is recorded for this issue and check cluster logs for more information. Please check below articles once:

It would be great if you post event ID details.

Hi,
Thanks for posting in Windows server forum.
You may check the following thread discuss about the WNLB with Exchange CAS array.

Hi Aiden,
sorry for the late response as i was transferred to another assignment.
i have gone through these articles but they are not helpful, as in my scenario we have Physical servers in place. we have configured Multicast NLB for CAS Array.
we have configured the Virtual MAC at the switch directly connected to the CAS NLB. still we have the issue with it, the performance at the NLB IP is really slow at average of 2 Kb to 4 Kb, if i test with rest of the individual 4 network cards the performance is fine and emails with attachments are frequent in send and receive, but as we switch to NLB IP we get 2 Kb to 4 Kb bandwidth.
any help regarding this will be appreciated, as i have been forced to resolve the issue by today.
Regards, Owais
