Switching windows in Server 2008

24. listopadu 2008 15:00I'm using Server 2008 as my destop OS. I've installed the Desktop Experience (if I don't do this I can't use the Zune software on the system). I have a problem when switching from one application to another. There's a couple of seconds delay and the CPU peaks while I do this. Is there any way to get around this sluggishness when switching?

Hi,
Have you tried optimizing pagefile? This delay may be possible due to application go into background and page some of your memory data onto disk.

There may be more reasons for this delay however on OS part one of the most common and probable reason is unneccassary paging.
