I have an Asus P5W DH Deluxe motherboard with 4GB of GSkill DDR2 Ram and an Intel Core2 Duo 2.1GHz processor. I was able to install the Beta version of Windows 7 with no problems. Just driver issues of course. But now I have replaced the processor with an Intel Core2 Duo E8400 3GHz processor, and I upgraded the BIOS to version 2801. Now I get a BlueScreen when running Setup for Windows 7 RC, or Windows XP 64bit. The only version of Windows that will install is Vista 64bit. In the BlueScreen the error at the top of the page is Multiple_Processor_Configuration_Not_Supported. But this is a SINGLE processor motherboard. Theres IS nothing to configure for multiple processors.
