    Are there any '"gotchas" using DPM 2010 wqith a Citrix ZenServer hosting 5 virtual servers including Exchange & SQL?

    We current have 15 XenServers and have had no issues with DPM. You are only going to be doing on client backups.  We are also running 2 DPM servers on XenServer as well and they run better than the physical DPM server.

    Hi ALWF,

    You can run DPM 2012 as a VM, that is supported.

    If you are looking to designing a fully DR scenario you should place the DPM server in another virtual enviroment or as best practice suggest place the DPM server on a physical server outside your VM cluster protecting your VM cluster.

    If you have any other concerns please post them.
