    Hi!

    Can I configure protect SQL 2012 using DPM 2007?

    Agent successfully show me database list, but when I begin backup - got error "Unable to configure protection"

    DPM cannot continue protection for SQL Server 2005 database sql2012\master on sql2012.domain.com. (ID 30184)

    my agent version is 2.0.8864.0

    Hi,

    We have never tested SQL 2012 using DPM 2007 / DPM 2010 - so it's officially unsupported.  however, we have seen DPM 2010 protect it fine as long as the "always on" feature is not enabled.  With that, I would recommend upgrading to DPM 2010 EVAL followed by DPM 2012 to be fully supported.
