    Hi there,

    I have the following setup:

one Ex2007 server, one BB Server.
All types of synchronisation (mails task notes...) are running fine.

    The Problem:

When I alter the due date of a task on BB-Device, it is altered on the BB-Device and when I open my outlook the altered due date is shown correctly.

When i acces my mail-profile via OWA and open the tasks view and open the altered task, the due date is the old due date. it seems, that the aleration has no effect.

i replicated this for 3 users

    any suggestions?

I have an end user who creates a task on his blackberry and the task due date shows up correctly in Outlook, but incorrectly in OWA.

    Also,

Same user when a task is created in OWA with a Reminder, it shows up on the blackberry with the correct due date but no reminder set.

    Anyone have any ideas?

I am having the same problem on a SBS 2003 server. I do use a Blackberry also, and have also used Windows Mobile devices. But I have the same issue whether or not I use a portable device. I can create and view the tasks correctly in Outlook 2007 or 2003, but when I view them in OWA it always shows old task due dates. So far it only appears to be on tasks.

I had this pretty annoying problem, too, because I usually don't put a due date on my to do items. I have found a very simple solution. It has worked for the past two weeks, so I'm pretty sure the problem is solved.

    The solution:

Blackberry Desktop Manager -> Synchronize -> Configuration tab -> Config synch... -> Tasks -> Configure -> Advanced Settings... -> Field Mapping: Now set the handheld "Start date" to NOT synchronize.

Why does this solve the problem?

On the blackberry, tasks don't have a start date. My guess is that Intellisync is finding a number it thinks is a start date, and that number is being converted into a strange start date in Outlook. In Outlook, whenever a start date is AFTER the due date, the due date is set to be the same as the start date.

This is frustrating, because all RIM needs to do to fix this problem is change the default field mapping.

What about if you are on an enterprise server? How can you map the fields? i have access to my Enterprise Server and i can have my IT team check this out.. at this point they don't know for sure..

That depends on which version of BlackbBerry Enterprise Server you are using and whether you want to apply the change globally to all users in your BlackBerry domain or a single user.  Basically you can edit the address field mappings and the PIM sync either at the BlackBerry domain level or on a specific user.
