Upgrade to Forefront SP3 now showing signature update error

I've upgraded to Forefront SP3 on a single WSS server. Since the upgrade I see the error:
Not all the engines selected in the Forefront Administrator for scanning have been enabled for signature updates.
in the application log every hour.
I have tried rebooting the server, starting and stopping the Forefront services and have disabled the scan engines/unchecked the file scanners and reconfigured them but I am still seeing the error.
I have installed Forefront SP3 on another SharePoint server and on a WSS server but have the same error on all three.
I have tested Forefront and it appears to be working but would like to resolve this error

Hi Laura,
it seems that you have to enable all engines for updates wheter you are using them or not. You can set the engines you are not using to once a week.
