    Hi

My environment: Windows Server 2008 R2, plan to install Microsoft Office 2010 KMS Host License Pack

I wanted to install Office KMS Host - all tutorial and materials on TechNet/MSDN/blogs are helpful and they gave me a lot of information how to do it. My problem is with Office KMS Host Key. How to obtain it? Is it a part of VL agreement?

I've checked all keys available via VLSC and there is position 'Office 2010 Suites and Apps KMS'. Is it a key which should be used to set up this KMS Host or maybe I need some other key? If yes how to get it (buy it?)? From company that delivered me VL agreement?

Ok, I've tested it and it seems that this is the key ('Office 2010 Suites and Apps KMS') - just wanted to be sure before any activation but I took a risk :).

Sorry for new topics and taking some free space at your servers :).

Correct, this is the KMShost key, which, when installed and activated, will then allow you to activate all Office suites & products via your on-premises KMShost.

does the product description have to say exactly "Office 2010 Suites and Apps KMS"?

we have OVA licenses for Office 2010 Professional Plus and in the "Type" column it says MAK and KMS. is the key on the KMS row the one for KMS host key?

    Hi,

the KMS pkey for Office, will activate both Office Suites (e.g. Standard, ProPlus)  and also standalone Office apps (e.g. Visio, Project)

If you are unsure which key to use, your KMShost will only accept a KMS pkey, so it will be quite clear, quite quickly :)
