    hi:

    I create the vms using ssp2.0sp1,but in virtual machine's hostname is not same to the virtual machine name (same with template)

    can I set the hostname same with vm name at Buildtime?

    Hi,

    Default CreateVM Script in the Master Action XML sets the computer Name same as VMname. If this is not working for Linux VM then you need to customize Action XML and modify the CreateVM script to set the HostName for Linux VM. For customizing an Action XML segment, Please refer to "Configuring Actions and Tasks"  in VMM08R2_VMMSSPExtensibilityGuide.
