After installing SharePoint 2010 sp1 and/or after other updates there is no search result page (also there is no people search results and search box).

How can I get these templates back en where do I have to store them.

those pages are missing when I make a new document in the library http://firm/sc/pages

    Hi Jan,

I am trying to involve someone familiar with this topic to further look at this issue.  There might be some time delay, appreciate your patience.

    Thanks

    Hello Jan,

Did you run PSConfig after applying SP1? It is required to run the Sharepoint Configuration wizard after applying Cumulative updates or service packs to the farm.

When you say search result page do you mean the "search this site" box?

I believe you are using Out of box web parts for people search box and search box.

Can you see any errors in the upgrade logs and upgrade error logs? After applying the updates did you see any errors in the event logs.

I see that you only applied SP1. It is recommened to apply Sharepoint 2010+ SP1+Feb 2012 CU.

    Thanks!

    Regards,

    Shruti

    Hello Shruti,

An external ICT system engineer applied SP1 and he did run PSConfig. I belive he had a few errors and corrected them. The rest is working well

And yes, we are using the out of the box webpart from sharepoint. When you are on de site ..\sc and you make a new page, you should have the page as displayed in the browser. All the trhee welcome pages we don't have anymore (see picture below).

Can you tell me whitch log files I have to look for.

I don't know if de juni CU update is installed, is there a way to see that this is done?

    Hello Jan,

    1. To check if June CU is installed.

Go  to Central administration->System Settings->Manage servers in the farm.

The build no should be 14.0.6106.1000 if it is June CU

    2. You can check for upgrade logs in the same path as your sharepoint logs:

    Program files->common files->Microsoft Shared->Web server extensions->14->logs

You will see the upgrade logs and also the upgrade error logs.

    Thanks!

    Regards,

    Shruti

    Hello Shruti,

I checked the version and say that we didn't have the June CU. So we are first going to plan that and I hope the problems will then be solved.

    Thanks,

    Jan
