How to chnage the 15 second polling time for mirrored databases?

Hi
I believe Sharepoint has a 15 second polling time to test which server is hosting the mirrored databases.
I'd like to decrease this to 5 seconds because of a badly written application we have to put up with.
As this is the only app that uses the farm, in theory it shouldnt be an issue.
Does anyone know where to find the 15 second setting so it can be modified please?

Not quite sure about which job does this. But you could find list of available time jobs here;
Central Administration -> Monitoring -> Review Job Definition
Click on the job to modify the schedule
