Answered SQL server issues

    We have a small consulting firm and use sql server 7.0.  We are in the business of data mining with db files as big as 40-50 gb and hundreds of millions of records.  I currently link all the sql tables into access databases and run all my querries and extractions from access menu.  My concern is :

    1.  we can not install sql server 7.0 on any operating systems after windows xp

    2.  windows xp is almost completetly phased out.  Drivers for newer computers (downgraded back to Windows XP) are no longer available for XP

    Does anyone have a suggestion / solution

    What features of SQL Server do you use? Are you looking for a free solution?

    You are not using SQL Server data mining algorithms, they were not available in SQL Server 7.0. Do you develop these algorithms yourself?

    Obvious solution is to upgrade to newer OS and SQL Server. Why are you looking for other solutions?
