A solution of mine requires
Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects 6.0 Library
Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects (Multi-dimensional) 6.0 Library but I am running VS 2012 so I removed the references to 6.0 and tried to install Windows6.1-KB2640696-v3-x64.msu and I get the error:
Windows Update Standalone Installer. Installer encountered an error 0x80096002. The certificate for the signer of the message is invalid or not found
So I looked up this error and found a "solution". It seemed to involve installing WIF, But I still get the same error. Ideas? This seems like a very round about question when all I really want is the latest COM type libraries.

So you are saying that I should apply this patch to allow the patch for OBDC to work? Becuase if that is what you are saying the OBDC patch still gives me the same error. How do I get the latestes OBDC COM type libraries for Windows 8?
