Basic Level Tutorial for visio addin

Hi All,
I need help in understanding how to create a basic Visio Addin using VSTO. I am a SharePoint developer and don't have any experience related to VSTO and Visio addin.
I have a requirement in which I need to create a addin for Visio 2010 in which i need to communicate with SharePoint list.
What I want to do is basically
- Write some code on Shape Added event(not sure if i can do that.) and document save event.
I would be really glad if you guys can share some links to blog or article where i can find basic steps to override these event inside addin.

For something like that, my favorite site is Chris Hopkins (http://blogs.msdn.com/b/chhopkin/) blog. For the the VSTO materials you really can't effectively begin without the Visio SDK over on MSDN
