Extra space surrounding the clock

Installed on my system using a 19" monitor using 1280x1024 resolution.
There seems to be some extra space surrounding the clock when I set the taskbar icons to small, sort of as if the clock hasn't readjusted itself.

Dienstag, 13. Januar 2009 23:15That's the space, the date would use (which is not shown with small symbols in taskbar).
As some kind of workaround, go to region-settings and change the format for date (short) from MM.DD.YY to the shortest option (M.D.YY).
This way, the clock will waste less space. -
