    Hello,

I work for a city and we have wireless laptops in the police cars that they use for their dispatches.  The wireless connection is 3G.  We had Windows Intune running on these computers and things were fine.  The latest version of the police dispatch software is extremely slow when InTune is enabled.  I'm trying to limit what InTune does but still have some protection.

Can someone explain or point me to information that defines exactly what the various scan settings do in InTune?  For example, what's the difference between Endpoint Protection and Realtime Scanning?

    Thanks!!

Realtime Scanning is a feature of Endpoint Protection. If you suspect that it's interfering with your software, you can set exclusions in policies so that it won't scan certain directories or processes. I highly recommend that you try an exclusion for your software to see if it improves the performance of your app.

Is it possible that there is a scheduled scan taking place? Check the Intune policy and see if there is a scan scheduled to run because if the scan is missed, Intune might be configured to start a scheduled scan after two missed scan attempts. This could be causing the slowness.
