Discussion CSV volume will not come online

    I have 2 node Hyper-v cluster R2 2 csv volumes

    both csv house vm drives

    Had a issue last night where csv volume 1 (6TB)lost connection about 2:13am

    came in csv 1 hung in "online pending" looking further it says chkdsk is running on the volume.

    Is there a way to quickly check the disk and get it back up

    I tried cluster res "cluster disk 1" /priv diskrunchkdsk=4

    It show the csv online but the storage is not available

    So I run /priv diskrunchkdsk=0 and it hangs on correcting error in index $SII for file 9.

    Read somewhere that I should check attributes of disk and maybe it was read only?

    Anyone else run into this issue?

    Hi,

    If you remove the LUN from cluster, can you access the LUN on any Hyper-V nodes?

    No luck there. I removed the LUN from CSV pool, hoping to just get access to the vhd files. The online pending was due to chkdsk reunning on it. It hangs on correcting index for entry sII..forever.

    In a real bind with this one

    Hi,

    According to the description, it seems that there are some issue with disk instead of whole cluster. You may need to fix the corrupt disk before you add it to the cluster again.

    What do you see in cluster logs at the time of when problem was observed?
