Hi, i have issue with creating NTFS quota for CSV on SAN storage using windows 2012 standard. I have failover cluster with 10 nodes, all have access to the CSV. I want to create quota for folders specified for every server on CSV. I add File server role, but cant create quota due to error, that folders that i choose is not NTFS, but as i know, CSV just add to NTFS. Please advice, how to create quota on CSV.

    Hi,

Disk Quotas and file screens on the volume exposed to the cluster must be configured by connecting to the node that currently owns that volume.

As I understand, my problem can not be solved for CSV, I repeat, we used CSV, when i add File Server application, as a cluster app, i can choose only available storage, and my CSV is not present. And in any way when i try create file shares on the CSV i use node that currently owner of volume.

    There are other ideas?

    Hi,

Disk Quota is supported in cluster scenario as the article said.

Enable the File Server role and install File Server Resource Manager on both computers in the cluster.
Quotas and file screens on the volume exposed to the cluster must be configured by connecting to the node that currently owns that volume.

Note: Quota templates, file screen templates, and file groups can be configured by connecting to either node in the failover cluster but not by using the cluster's network name.

If issue still exists please provide screenshot to help us understand the current situation, including "CSV is not present" and "CSV is not NTFS".
