Domain Configurations

Dear All,
1. I've installed windows 2008 standard r2 server.
2.Configured a domain.
3.Joined 10 clients to the server.
4.Created shared folders on the sever restricting to users.(ex.USERNAME:system01 can access a shared folder:system01 only)
5.I need to give the below permissions only. Please let me know the permission combination.
Read / write / modify - allow access
Delete / cut and copy from server - deny access
I am unable to join a WIN 7 based client system to the domain.
Along the above I also needed a free proxy windows based server which is user friendly.

If I am right, this thread will help you somehow, please refer: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winserverDS/thread/be5557ea-f015-434e-90e3-6446074673df

Thank you Ravi Kumar for taking time to reply my question.
Basically elaborating the current scenario.
1.Server has multiple shared folders where the users are asked to put in their data
2.Example ,system01,system02,system03. Only user 'system01' will be able to access 'system01' shared folder so is others too.
3.Basically to avoid all kind of confusion I have named host name of systems also the same way.
host name :system01 user logging in:system01 shared folder for the user in server:system01
so is for others also.
4.I want to define the permissions as earlier stated to that particular folder and to that user.
5.Rest all other users are already removed from the folder permissions except the right user
6.NO other users have access, only user 'system01' has access to the shared folder 'system01'
7.Exact requirement is the user 'system01' should be able to do the following on the folder that he is given access.
Read / write / modify - allow access
Delete / cut and copy from server - deny accessThanks in Advance

Dear Isaac,
Thank you for taking time to respond to my query.
This Win7 system has static IP configured. Its DNS IP is the IP of the server. So is there anything that I should do. Please reply.
Thank in Advance.

Hi,
If IP, subnet mask, default gateway and DNS are all manually input (static) on client systems correctly, it should be enough for join a client system to domain. So what's the exact error you got?
For the share folders, for the specific requirement, you will need to manually assign permissions. However:
1. If users have Read permission, they will able to copy files from server.
2. If users do not have Delete permission, specific issue may occur when trying to edit Office files. A workaround is to give Creator Owner - Delete permission so temp file created when editing Office files could be deleted automatically.TechNet Subscriber Support in forum |If you have any feedback on our support, please contact tnmff@microsoft.com.
