I am an MCSE and am interested in learning hypervisor technology. I want to installing a beta version of whatever Microsoft OS gives me a full hypervisor (like VMware ESX). Is that available now? If so how do I DL it? I want to learn about this technology but am a novice and am confused about the first steps. I have DL'ed Vir. Svr. 2005 R2 and Vir. PC 2007 but I don't believe Vir.Svr.2005 is a full hypervisor and wonder if I should just wait to install the Viridian version if that is the correct product.
Any help is appreciated.

So if I may, what are people with MS backgrounds doing to prepare for hypervisor technologies? So is there nothing to install or at least read or practice with until Viridian?
Thanks.

At this time there is no public availability of a Hypervisor from Windows Server Virtualization. Maybe you want to check out the WinHEC Slides about Windows Server Virtualization and Hypervisor:

You can see a video of WSV in action at on soapbox (if you haven't already seen it?)
