All,
Will Hyper-V slow down my PC (Windows 8) while not running on my PC. I am new to using any type of virtual machine.
I was told that Hyper-V will slow down my PC if Install on my machine even if I am not running it (Hyper-V has a bunch of system drivers running in the background).
The guy said I should run VMware (I am thinking the guy just loves VMware and hates anything else).
Please provide your comments.

Hyper-V is always running, it's not a bunch of drivers, but the hypervisor. If you install Hyper-V on Win8, your Windows 8 install is moved into a VM, the parent partition.
The only performance issue has been with games and video performance. For some it's minimal, some it's more pronounced. Most likely, the performance is related to the Win8 video drivers and their lack of maturity.
