Hello all,
I am in search of a 3rd party tool to plug-in to my existing wsus infrastructure. I am currently working with a demo from batchpatch and it is seemingly doing exactly what I would like it to do. Does anyone here on the forum have any further reviews of this product or suggestions for other tools? Completely willing to buy a product, but need it to do a few key items:
- ability to set a schedule for updates to start automatically
- single console to initiate, check, and give status updates for windows updates
- possibility of clean reporting of the patching cycles
Any help is greatly appreciated!Thanks,
Jeff

need it to do a few key items:
- ability to set a schedule for updates to start automatically
- single console to initiate, check, and give status updates for windows updates
- possibility of clean reporting of the patching cyclesGreetings Jeff. I'm happy to say that SolarWinds Patch Manager can do all of the above, including providing you with pre-packaged, tested, 3rd party update packages for all of today's common desktop applications, including Reader, Flash, Java, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, iTunes, QuickTime, and a few more obscure ones.
(Does that sound like something off of the product marketing page, eh?) Truly, I just wrote that off the top of my head, but I've been working with Patch Manager (and it's predecessors) for four years, so it's kinda ingrained on my brain.
If you'd like to discuss Patch Manager in more detail, a more appropriate place would be the Thwack Patch Manager forum where I'll be happy to discuss the features more in-depth with you.
