    I keep seeing references to WSus 4 and Wsus 2012, yet I cant find any download for them. is there such a thing?

    Windows Server 2012, includes WSUS as a role/feature (as it did for Server2008).

    The version of WSUS which ships as a role in Server2012, is v6.2
    [EDIT Feb 03-2013: changed v4 to be v6.2]

    This version of WSUS is not available for download to earlier version of Windows Server.

    I have seen this is google searches.

    I have 2012 Server so I assume I have v 4

    Probably Server 2012, which includes WSUS 4 as a role.

    Pedantic correction -- the version of WSUS which ships as a role in Server 2012 is v6.2

    There is no such thing as WSUS v4 (but those not interested in Win2012 can continue to hope). :-)
