Upload Multiple Documents button grayed out - This control is currently disabled
-
Monday, February 08, 2010 6:31 PMI want to use the "Upload Multiple Documents" button within a document center site, but it is grayed out. When you hover over it, a pop-up message states "This control is currently disabled"
So how and where do you go to enable this button?

The control is a client integration component, so will be available on a machine where the Office client is installed, I.e. Word, Excel, etc. If you install the Office client on the server, the control will be available.

Tuesday, February 09, 2010 2:13 PMNothing but the Sharepoint 2010 Beta has been installed so far.
So when you say office client, are you reffering to the full Office 2010 Beta suite and it should be installed on the same server? -

Hi
The office client integration support in IE seems to be determined by the installed version of office 2010. For example, the upload multiple documents button is greyed out(disabled) when viewed in IE 9, 64-bit; but is enabled in IE 9, 32-bit when office 2010 Pro 32-bit installed on the local machine.
Is there a way to allow users to upload multiple documents with 64-bit versions: of 1) IE and 2) FireFox without needing to install Office 2010 64-bit on the same machine.
Regards
Daniel

I have Office 2010 x64 and IE 9. The control is not available in either IE9 64 or 32 bit. However, on another machine that has Office 2007 32 bit and IE 8 the control is available in either IE8 64 bit or 32 bit.
How to get this control on all supported version of Office and IE?
