Exchange 2010 Quarantine Phones.

    Question

  • Going forward I want to quarantine all phones so the admins can make sure they are on the latest IOS versions.  Will the command below have any effect on the phones already working?

    Set-ActiveSyncOrganizationSettings –DefaultAccessLevel Quarantine –AdminMailRecipients administrator@domain.com

  • Hi,
All mobile devices will be put in Quarantine after you make that change, so yes, it will affect existing EAS Partnerships too.

You can kind of prevent that, if you populate the value ActiveSyncAllowedDeviceIDs before you make that change.
That way...the devices will be allowed and not be put in Quarantine.

    Example:
    set-casmailbox martina -ActiveSyncAllowedDeviceIDs "MAC07RTA510INAE613AD90840057239A6"

  • That would be a pain to do, I would have to find all device IDS.

    Thanks for the info.
