Encrypt a password of the .RDP file for Android and iOS.

    Question

  • I'm developing an app like to start by passing the .RDP file to Remote Desktop Client for Android and iOS.
If I set a password as a parameter to the .RDP file, how do I do encryption?

  • Hi,

As far as I know, password cannot/will not be stored in the .rdp file.

You may have to change the design.

    Thanks.

  • I want to start up by passing the settings(Host name, User name, Domain name and Password) to RD Client from my app, and to log on to the desktop seamlessly.

Is there any way like this?

For example, in the case of Android, is it possible to start up using the Intent?

  • Hi,

You can pre-configure the host name in the .rdp file. However, we cannot pre-configure User name, Domain name and Password for the remote desktop client from Microsoft side.

    Thanks.
