What does it mean that a patch was replaced?

    Question

  • Hello,

on the bulletin site lite this

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/security/bulletin/MS13-054

it is announced that patches are replaced. What does this exactly mean that one patch replaces the other?

We have to manage many win7sp1 32bit clients and distribute patches to them. If patch a replaces b, does this mean that we can delete patch b from the patch-system if patch a is present?

Would appreciate some info on that.
