I attempted to do a coExisit 2010 with 2007. Below is a diagram of the setup.
I am unclear, if I need to create an Internal DNS record called Legacy.domain.com, and it if plays a role.
My objective, is move Internet Facing 2007 CAS in AD site 1, to 2010 CAS in AD site 2 (making it the New Internet Facing Site, it also has a 2007 CAS in this site.
When I attempted the coExist, I wasn't able to proxy to 2007 CAS in AD Site2., But I was able to for the 2007 CAS AD Site 1.
Thank you for your help.
Have you done these steps:
- On the CAS2010 server(s), they establish a connection to the CAS2007 server's drive that contains the Exchange binaries and navigate to the \Client Access\OWA directory (e.g. \\cas2007nonIFAD\c$\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\Client Access\Owa).
- They then copy the highest version folder (e.g. today your SP2 build is 18.104.22.168) from the CAS2007 server to the CAS2010 Exchange binaries \Client Access\OWA directory (e.g. C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\ClientAccess\Owa).
- They then execute IISReset on all the CAS2010 machines.
Thank you for your Reply. I did copy the Binany Files, but does it matter which 2007 CAS I copy it from ?
In the diagram above, under NEW. I copied the Binary Files of the CAS 2007 in AD Site 1 , into CAS 2010 in AD Site 2. Both CAS 2007 AD Site 1, and CAS 2007 AD Site 2, have the same ver (8.3 build 8.6).
Does Legacy.Domain.com still play a role in this setup ?
