Looking for Custom WSUS Queries in SQL Developer using WSUS Views

    Question

  • Hello,
I have recently configured a WSUS server in my environment and I am running into problems with the WSUS Reports not being in-depth enough to give to an auditor. I am looking to be able to query:

    1. A server name
    2. The updates that were installed to it
    3. The date when the updates were installed.

I am running my WSUS Database on a SQL Server and am aware of the WSUS views.  I have little experience with databases and am having trouble finding a query that would suit my needs. I have been following "http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/bb410149(v=vs.85).aspx" but have not been getting far.

Has anyone made any custom queries that would be able to help me out?

    Thanks

  • just in case you don't get any assistance with this method, an alternative clunky method is to use:

    wmic qfe > qfedump.txt

  • Thank you,

This definitely can be used to pull the information I need. However, I would find it more useful to be able to query this information using SQL Developer as it would give a more organized output.

I've looked around the internet for some but am not having any luck.

    Anyone else have any thoughts?

    Thanks
