Sharing a mounted NFS volume

    Question

  • Hi --

On an SBS 2011 Standard (or Windows 2008 R2 Standard; I have both available) server, (how) can I mount an NFS volume residing on an AIX server and share it across the Windows domain?

I can mount the volume on the SBS box right now just fine. But it does me no good if I can't share it to the Windows workstations.

Just to be clear: The Windows server is the NFS _client_ here.

    Thanks
    CL

  • Don't think you can re-share a share, especially with a non-standard Windows protocol.  Can you not share the mount using Samba/SMB on the AIX box?  Note there may be a better LINUX forum for this...

  • As mentioned above, we may not able to "reshare" it. If it is an NFS share, every client/server need to access it via NFS.
