SSIS packages scheduled under sql agent

    Question

  • Hi,

We have a set of ssis packages which are scheduled on sql agent .These jobs refer to Mapped drive ( not unc path) . These jobs were running fine till this morning . Since this morning the jobs started to fail and unable to recognize the Mapped drive . The jobs run fine from the BI studio ( logged in as the owner of the job ) . When we change the Mapped Drive to UNC path it works Fine ,  and that will be lot of changes .We tried to delete the share and recreate it as well  but that did not help either.Any ideas on how to find out what changed in the permissions that is causing this issue  will be very helpful. Thanks,

Answers

  • Did you given the access on mapped drive to proxy user that SQL job is using to run SSIS packages ?

Also where the mapped drived are created on the same server where SQL agen job is hosted or on different Server ?

  • Since, SSIS is able to connect to UNC path's why did you mapped them to any drive? Was there any specific reason behind this motive?

    Thanks, hsbal
