The Wsus administration console was unable to connect to the WSUS Server via the remote API

  • Hello,

    I have problem to be connected to the snap in WSUS, i tried to reindex the database, to install all the fix for WSUS 3.0 SP2.

    I have this result with a new installation or not, he was good to know i m using WSUS offline with import form a WSUS connected to the internet.

    You can see the error:

    The WSUS administration console was unable to connect to the WSUS Server via the remote API.

    Verify that the Update Services service, IIS and SQL are running on the server. If the problem persists, try restarting IIS, SQL, and the Update Services Service.

  • I have already done a dbmaintenance and a cleanup but i still have the problem.

    DBMaintenance and Server Cleanup Wizard are useless if you have an excessive number of approved updates.

    I would suggest performing the appropriate maintenance on the connected server, and then rebuild the disconnected server with a new import after you've cleaned up the connected server.
