Management Pack (Sealed) Remove Failed (no depenedencies)

    Question

  • I am trying to remove previously imported Management Pack (ours) - All dependencies are removed - if fails with the error in the Event Log:

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

An exception was thrown while processing UninstallManagementPack for session ID uuid:a2deacc7-6d64-404f-bcbb-a64f0f0fce58;id=60.
Exception message: Failed to uninstall management pack: 967115b7-2f0d-11a5-6dd3-02ede015d28c
Full Exception: : Failed to uninstall management pack: 967115b7-2f0d-11a5-6dd3-02ede015d28c
Database error. MPInfra_p_ManagementPackRemove failed with exception:
The DELETE statement conflicted with the SAME TABLE REFERENCE constraint "FK_ManagedType_ManagedType". The conflict occurred in database "OperationsManager", table "dbo.ManagedType", column 'BaseManagedTypeId'.
Transaction count after EXECUTE indicates a mismatching number of BEGIN and COMMIT statements. Previous count = 1, current count = 0.
    The statement has been terminated.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This started to happen after SCOM 2012 SP1 has been installed. Upgrade of the MP still works, but removal does not.

The MP defines a class hierarchy - seems like a FK was added and as it is known MSSQL can not handle recursive FK constraints...

    Anybody ran into this?

    Thanks,

    David
