Build in Nfc Unlocking feature?

    Question

  • I don't found no information about what is planed for nfc support (well, tap-to-print, but more) , so I'll ask you:

Will there be a possibility to configure a nfc tag for unlocking your device; like a fingerprint sensor but with a 'fingerprint' on a tag or so?

  • Hi,

The NFC part is very simple but the unlocking part is more complicated than you think. Unlocking your computer should never be done programmatically because if your program can do it, then so can others.

Here is something I can fine for your reference:

  • I see what you mean with he security issue.

But I thought more of a programm reading out the nfc tag and using it with the normal login service rather than forcing a login by nfc tag. This would also make it easy to log in manually when the tag is broken or abscent ...

So can you please tell me which service/dll/whatever I will have to modify under win 8 ? :D
