SCSM Service Requests : Taking input from Users using provided controls

    Question

  •   We have query results type in Service Manager but results only rendered in a list form. Actual data is in tree form with parent child relation ship. List view is workable but desirable is tree view control which seems not to be possible in current version of SCSM. Any insights on new versions or road map if we will have more controls and functionality to come ?

  • Hi !

It's not possible for the moment.

But if you want to simplify you can also use 2 user imput :

    • First is a simple list with all categories (like "West Wharf"), This list will be used to perform a first sorting
    • Second you query result with a criteria to Display Name : [Object] Display Name Contains ListeValue

  •  Yes this is closest. however requires intensive workout and not good in favor of data changes.

  • Yes i'm agree with you.

Maybe you can add the category in the CMDB instead of a list (new class) ?
