How to unprovision AMT clients and remove AMT Provisioning?

    Question

  • Hello everybody,

I've got the AMT and enrolment role activated. Moreover I've got some clients activated for AMT but it seems not to work. Now I want to uninstall and unprovision AMT from SCCM and its client computers.

I unchecked the checkbox in the collection. Still, there are clients added to the OU and group for OOBM.

Is there any guide to uninstall AMT completely? Because I've removed the role but this didn't really remove the OOBM functions. Logs and stuff was still there and showing that there is AMT provisioning in progress for the clients.

    Help would be appreciated.

    Thank you very much.

    Best Regards,
    Erik

  • I've managed to unprovision clients.

    1. Uncheck OOB in the collection's properties
    2. Wait until all clients get a policy update and recognize they are no longer oob-managed
    3. Unprovisioning process / OOB-Unprovisioning will take place
    4. Client registered in the Active Directory OU for OOB / Security Groups etc. will be removed slowly
    5. No more client's aren't managed by OOB

In the end there is only one way to provide proper OOBM: We need to use Intel SCS (http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/software/setup-configuration-software.html) and SCCM 2012 SP1 to do so. In fact we want to use Intel vPro / AMT features on all clients not just a bunch of clients with a firmware which is supported by SCCM 2012 SP1 (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg682051.aspx).
