  • Thanks I am using multicast NLB When I connect the host with the old cluster name, it claim host unreachable . Since I ping the cluster name, it is still point to cluster virtual ip, there is no any node under it. Since arp record have configured the old MAC address, and DNS recorded the old ip, what it's the step that I can do to clean the previous setting and setup the cluster again

  • TO cleanup the arp and dns entries use the following command

arp /d - to clean ARP entries

ipconfig /flushdns - to clean up the DNS cache information

  • for ipconfig /flushdns , is it run at Local machine or DNS server?

if DNS, sicne it is so many DNS entry at DNS Sever, it is risky to clean up all, is it possible just delete that problematic entry at DNS server
