  • Hi,

Do you means that you can connect to a wireless network showed in the Network and Sharing Center , but you don’t know how to set an IP address?
    Please explain your problems  specificly.

There are two kind of TCP/IP setting.
    •  Get IP automatically by DHCP.
    •  Set IP address manually.
If you use the automatic IP, please refer to the following steps to check if you get  the right IP.
    • Go to an Elevated Command prompt and type in ipconfig
    • Check if your IP address are range from 192.254.0.0 to 169.254.255.255.

Please refer to the following link to set your IP address.
         Change TCP/IP settings

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/change-tcp-ip-settings#1TC=windows-7

This link is about Windows 7.
You can go to Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center, and then set your IP address.

If there are any problems, please let me know.

  • This something which you should configure through your router's setting.

If you refer to your wireless router's manual, you could access setting page by type an IP Address (it is depends on your router) and there you could setup some of configurations.
