Please take a look at the following case:
We have created a web site with ASP.NET 4.5 and published it on a Web Server (Win Server 2012R2) with IIS 8.5.9600.
The Authentication schema is
Anonym. Auth : Disabled
ASP.NET Impers : Enabled (Identity to impersonate : Authenticated uesr)
Wind Auth : Enabled (Enabled Providers : NTLM and Negotiate, on that order. Extended Protection OFF and Enable Kernel ON )
Identity of Appl Pool : ApplicationPoolIdentity
Security permission and sharing includes the domain users (Read only).
What we need is for the browser to recognize every domain user and allow him/her to access the default page of the site.
System.Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity.GetCurrent() should be equal to the active directory domain user name.
Could some one suggest the correct setting on the IIS???
Hi, I would ask on IIS's forum for such issue. Unfortunaltly I can't move the thread there as it's hosted on another platform.
Else maybe that like might help;
How to use domain windows user account as app pool identity (it's a old topic, so I does not knwo if it apply to IIS 8.5)
Don't forget to mark as answer or vote as helpful to help identify good information. ( linkedin endorsement never hurt too :o) )
Answer an interesting question ? Create a
wiki article about it!
Additionally, please post the issue to IIS forums:
