Odd issue with email enabled list

    Question

  • I have a strange issue that has just started happening.  I have an email enabled document library.  It accepts email from all users.  When a user outside of our organization sends an email, the attachment shows in the folder based on sender along with the email as desired.  But now when someone internal to our organization sends an email to the same address only the email shows in the folder.  The attachment has disappeared into lala land.  I cannot figure out why it will receive save the attachments from external users but no longer from internal users. 

    When I test both scenarios the emails go to the drop folder and are picked up as seen by the email body being delivered to the list.  I just cannot figure out why the attachments are missing for internal tests but show up for external users.

    Any ideas?
